Billy Blastoff and Jet Pack

Billy Blastoff and Jet Pack

This is product number 33028/33043 it is recommended for ages 3-6. Made by Hasbro for their Playskool Heroes line.

The box has the usual open style, allowing the customer to touch the figures before opening the package.
Included are two pieces, Billy Blastoff and Jet Pack. Now being Transformers i am not sure if Jet Pack is simply a transforming jet pack or an intelligent robot named Jet Pack. I shall assume Jet Pack is in the same category as the targetmasters or arms microns.

Billy stands 2 and a half inches tall, while Jet Pack is 3 inches hight and almost 3 inches wide.

Billy Blastoff

We will start with Billy Blastoff. He has standard Playskool Heroes articulation being; rotating head and wrists, Ball jointed shoulders and his legs move together.

Both Billy Blastoff's left and right hand is in a grasp pose, looks like its designed to fit most Playskool Heroes accessories including those of the marvel and Jedi Force lines.

I dont think this guy ever appeared in the cartoon but the sculpt is nice and the Autobot badge on the hat is a nice touch.

He is dressed in a black and white police uniform.

His police boots are incredibly detailed, he has a peg hole in the bottom of each foot, that allows him to peg into Playskool Heroes Rescue Bots accessories. However the holes in his feet are too large for the Marvel equipment pegs, making the two lines sadly incompatible.
The only solution i can see is that all future playskool Heroes figures should come with one "Jedi force/marvel" hole and one "rescue bots" hole. This could be two holes in each foot (Spidey has three, so there is room) or one type of hole / foot. Seems like this is the only way to combat this manufacturing error or design oversight and still make the old accessories and figures compatible.

Jet Pack

Now on to Jet Pack. He isnt really a figure and so doesnt really have articulation. His rocket thrusters do move via a switch and his wings do extend.

Pressing his yellow button makes the silver rocket boosters spin.

Here he is with wings extended. You extend the wings by pushing down on the yellow "bar" at the top of the jet pack.

He also transforms into his "robot tool" mode.

Looking on the back of the packaging it appears Jet Pack becomes a police riot shield for Chase the police rescue bot.

Here are the instructions from the package.

Billy Blastoff and Jet Pack look pretty cool together.

The package also come with a "tear away character card".
This card is a few
millimetres over 2 inches tall and a few millimetres over 1 and 1/2 inches wide.

The harness of Jet Pack is compatible with a lot of the "standard" Human sized Playskool Heroes figures. Here we see Spider-Man and Obi-Wan Kenobi wearing him.

Obi-wan Kenobi and Commander Cody

 Obi-wan Kenobi and Commander Cody

This is product number 34428/33097 it is recommended for ages 3-6. Made by Hasbro for their Playskool Heroes line.

The box has an interesting open style, allowing the customer to touch the figures before opening the package.
Included are two figures, Obi-wan Kenobi and Commander Cody.

 Obi-wan Kenobi

We begin with Obi-wan Kenobi who has "standard Playskool Heroes articulation", he has rotating head and wrists, Ball jointed shoulders and his legs move together.

Obi-Wan Kenobi's left hand is in a grasp pose, this looks like its designed to fit most Playskool Heroes accessories including those of the rescue bots human characters and Marvel Spider-man Adventures.

His right hand holds a blue beamed lightsaber, this weapon does not detach from his hand.

The little figure is a good likeness.

Obi-Wan Kenobi looks to be wearing Jedi robes over Stormtrooper armour.

Obi-Wan's feet have two holes, these holes seem a little smaller than the Marvel figures ones, but can still peg onto Marvel equipment.

Commander Cody

Now on to Commander Cody. He has "standard Playskool Heroes articulation".

Cody's left hand is a standard Playskool heroes grasping hand.

His right hand holds a Stormtrooper laser gun.

Such a pity that the holes in the feet are not truly universal through the whole Playskool Heroes line.

The Cody the clone and Obi-Wan the Jedi argue.

 Obi-Wan and Cody train.

The package also come with a "tear away character card". This card is a few millimetres over 2 inches tall and a few millimetres over 1 and 1/2 inches wide.

Spider-man and Green Goblin

Spider-Man and Green Goblin

This is product number 37930 it is recommended for ages 3-6. Made by Hasbro for their Playskool Heroes line.

The box has an interesting open style, allowing the customer to touch the figures before opening the package.
Included are three pieces, Spider-Man, Green Goblin and the Goblin Flyer.

Spider-Man stands just on 2 1/2 inches tall while The Green Goblin stands just over 2 1/2 inches tall when not on his Glider.

Spider-Man

We will start with Spider-Man. He has rotating head and wrists, Ball jointed shoulders and his legs move together.

Spider-Mans left hand is in the typical web shooter pose.

Spider-Mans right hand is in a grasp pose, looks like its designed to fit most Playskool Heroes accessories including those of the Rescue Bots human characters.

The head sculpt is very nice and looks unmistakably like Spider-Man.

He has his iconic black Spider-Man logo on the front of his costume.

He also has the Spider-Man logo on his back.

He has nice webbing markings on his costume and also has extra holes in the bottom of his feet. These holes seem to contain some metal, and make his feet not level.  i do not know what these holes are for, do you?

 Doc Ock Spider-Man                            This Spider-Man

Its great that the characters are different in these different sets.

Green Goblin

Now on to Green Goblin. He has rotating head and wrists, Ball jointed shoulders and his legs move together, we will call this "standard Playskool Heroes articulation".

Green Goblins left hand  like Spider-Mans right hand is in a grasp pose, this looks like its designed to fit most Playskool Heroes accessories including those of the rescue bots human characters.

Green Goblins right hand holds one of his "Pumkin bombs". The bomb in the shape of a pumpkin has a lovely toofy smile. This is attached to his hand and can not be removed.

The head sculpt is very nice and looks unquestionably the Green Goblin.

Green Goblin has a nice "man bag", or shoulder bag.

His costume has a cross-cross of scaled armoured pattern.

Green Goblin has the standard Playskool Heroes peg holes in his feet, making him compatible with most Playskool Heroes accessories. Spider-Man also has these holes though he has additional holes as well.

The Rescue Bots sub line of Playskool Heroes inexplicably has a larger hole in the foot and a thicker peg in the accessories, making them sadly incompatible.

This pack also comes with the Goblin Flyer, though the set does not name it. This is a flying platform used by the Green Goblin.
The accessory has a foot peg that is compatible with both Spider-Man and Green Goblin. It is over 1 1/2 inches long and has 2 1/2 inch wingspan, it stands about 1/2 and inch tall.

Here is Green Goblin on his Goblin Flyer.

Spider-Man and Green Goblin are old rivals.

They have been fighting for many years.

They are reasonably matched in battle.

Spider-Man and Green Goblin are also friends.

The figures also come with a little card on the front of the packaging.
